Initiatives

Our goal is to foster meaningful dialogue and, at the conclusion of each book, identify actionable items that empower the community to be an integral part of the decision-making process.

We meet the second Saturday of each month at New World Cafe (5900 Duraleigh Rd) from 9:30-11:30am.  

Invites residents inside the budget process.  This isn't a lecture series, it's a hands-on learning opportunity where neighbors work side-by-side to understand how Raleigh spends money and how priorities are set.  The goal is simple: turn curiosity into confidence and participation into impact.

Turns one-time charity into long-term community care.  Instead of just collecting donations, we connect neighbors directly with the nonprofits and mutual aid groups doing the work every day.  It's about building relationships, not just drop offs, and creating a city where we look out for one another all year long.
